Home Sweet Home

Posted on November 5, 2021November 6, 2021

Home, indeed, is sweet. We arrived home on November 1st, weary from a two day push through 900 miles from Sherman, Texas. Leaving 70 degree weather, our “Wilson,” and our fifth-wheel RV in our rear view mirror, we journeyed through Oklahoma, Missouri and Iowa. We greeted the “Welcome to Minnesota” sign with glee and a happy dance, albeit seated in our truck. Surprised and delighted to see a remnant of fall colors still decorating our neighborhood, we embraced the crisp autumn air as we stepped onto our driveway.

In the past several days as we’ve re-entered our Minnesota life, Skip and I have reflected upon our 6 week, 17 state, nearly 6,000 mile adventure. God’s blessings and faithfulness surrounded us. God’s protection saved us. The peace of God filled us. Never in my life have I felt so calm in my mind and spirit.

We plan to hit the road again in January. We’ll return to Texas to pick up our fifth-wheel, then head to Arizona to serve on a SOWER project in Tucson for most of February. After a couple months back home, we plan to spend May touring the phenomenal national parks of Utah. June will bring us to Colorado Springs to serve on a SOWER project at the Navigators Glen Eyrie castle. Check that out!

The Navigator’s Glen Eyrie castle where we will serve on a SOWER project next June.

I hope that our blog has enriched your life, delighted you with beauty, and brought you joy. Your comments and encouragement added much joy to our travels. We hope you’ll come along for the ride with us on our future adventures! More blog posts to come in 2022!

We missed you here at home, but knew you were enjoying your Sower’s “work” and exploring. Thank you for giving of yourselves so generously. Your words and deeds are inspiring. Thank you for sharing them!
