After four fabulous days on the west side of GNP, we drove to the east side of the park. We’ve savored two days exploring more majestic mountains, lakes, and waterfalls, albeit with unbelievable crowds. Still no bears. Alas. We saved the best hike for our last day—the Hidden Lake Overlook.
Since words can’t possible explain the beauty of what our eyes beheld, I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Enjoy!
We returned to the park on our last evening to catch a glimpse of the Jackson Glacier. It was indeed a glimpse; the glacier, like most glaciers in the park, has been shrinking. Look in the center of the photo below the clouds. We also captured a shot of the evening sun across St. Mary Lake.
We’re heading next to the Whitefish area for a couple of days then to the southern end of Flathead Lake for three days before pointing our truck towards home. Hope you’ll come along for the ride!
Anne, your photography continues to be astounding. So happy you are experiencing so much beauty.
Thank you, Barbara. I remember seeing your beautiful photography in your office years ago.
So beautiful! Thank you.
