Many friends and family have asked if I would be writing a travel blog. I’ve resisted the idea; it seems narcissistic. Then a gentle nudge in my heart shifted my thinking.
Share joy. Share beauty. Share hope. That will be the purpose of this blog.
I hope you will be blessed in reading about the experiences Skip and I enjoy during our journeys, the people we meet, and our joy in serving. We promise to post pictures, too.
Our first adventure begins August 15th as we journey through Minnesota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa and return home. Our first trip will include a family reunion in southern MN, a visit with new RV friends at their home in SD, several overnight visits with Harvest Hosts (two cattle ranches, a western trails museum, a horse farm, two breweries and a mead winery), adventures in Jackson, WY, and time in CO with family. Sitting outside our camper breathing in the beauty of the Tetons and the Rockies will be a balm to our soul.
In mid-September, we will travel east from Minnesota through Wisconsin to the UP of Michigan, then through lower Michigan, through Ohio and New York to arrive in Hubbardston, MA. We will serve for most of October as part of a SOWER ministry team. We will explore New England on the weekends, making the most of the opportunity to enjoy the glory of the fall foliage. We will again visit numerous Harvest Hosts which will add rich and diverse experiences to our journey.
Skip and I covet your prayers for safe travels as well as infinite patience as we experience RV life in our new-to-us 5th wheel and RAM pickup. We will publish posts as time and internet connection permit.
May our posts engender joy and hope in your heart!
It will be fun to follow your travels. Praying it is a great experience for you and also for those you meet on your journey.
Thanks, Kim. I’m thankful for those God brings across our path, both planned and unplanned. Tonight we enjoyed precious time with our nephew and his wife. What a treasure that was.
Anne and Skip, chris and I love you both and hope you continue to have an amazing time in your travels.
