This may be my shortest post, and it will be my last. As many of you know, Skip and I have sold our RV and truck. We are trading in our home on wheels for a home on a concrete slab! We’re swapping our Minnesota mittens for Florida flip-flops metaphorically speaking; truthfully, neither of us actually wear flip flops. We’re building a home in a Del Webb community in Minneola, FL which lies about 45 minutes northwest of Orlando. We plan to keep our Minnesota home for a while—might be a year, might be ten years. We plan to enjoy Florida’s sunshine during winter and spring then savor Minnesota’s beautiful summer and colorful autumn seasons.
For five glorious years, we have traveled this most amazing country, seeing and experiencing the creativity and majesty of our awesome God. We’ve been honored and privileged to serve as SOWERs on 18 projects. New friendships emerged through this ministry which have immeasurably enriched our lives.
You might be asking…why Minneola? For the past three winters, we served as SOWERs at the Africa Inland Mission in Minneola. We’ve fallen in love with the area which surprisingly includes many lakes and hills. We’ve found a fabulous church, we know the area, we have severals growing friends, all of which led us to choose Minneola for our winter home. Del Webb offers many amenities and opportunities to build community. We’re excited!
By writing about our adventures in this blog, we sought to fulfill our goal of sharing joy, beauty and hope. We hope we’ve succeeded. We’re so glad you came along with us for our five year ride! Blessings to you all!

Hi, Anne and Skip! You have blessed the SOWER ministry greatly and we’re grateful God allowed us to serve on a project together. You will be missed, but God will guide you to new people and places.
